The First Lady of the Lebanese Republic, Mrs. Nehmat Aoun, is laying the foundation for a unified national standard of school citizenship, a cornerstone for cultivating a generation of citizens. The School of Citizenship initiative is born out of this dream, because schools are the cradle of citizenship, the core of a community, where everything begins. To reinforce the schools’ role in society, the First Lady is building a coalition of international, regional, and local stakeholders to federate and unify the vision on citizenship education.
