Founded in 2005 and chaired by Tanya Saadé Zeenny, the CMA CGM Foundation focuses on humanitarian action and access to education. It embodies and translates the family values and solidarity of the CMA CGM Group, a global leader in transport and logistics, into concrete actions.
Facing crises, the Foundation leverages the expertise of the CMA CGM Group to deliver essential humanitarian supplies. It also supports access to quality education, professional training and integration, as well as educational and social innovation. To date, the Foundation has transported 100,000 tons of humanitarian aid to 100 countries, supported over 550 educational projects in France, Lebanon, and around the world, and assisted 67 entrepreneurs through its social incubator, Le Phare.
Since its launch in 2005, the CMA CGM Foundation has been committed to promote education through various initiatives across the world and especially in Lebanon, a country that is so dear to my heart. We have rehabilitated schools across the country, equipped them with solar panels and provided them with the tools and resources to improve access to quality education.
“Nothing strengthens a nation more than educating its youth — it’s what turns promise into progress and hope into reality. This project, launched today by the First Lady, comes at a pivotal moment, offering a nationwide platform to foster civic education and transform schools into hubs of citizenship. Our CMA CGM Foundation is proud to take part of this initiative, which will empower young Lebanese students to build a brighter future for our country.”
